The Counterfeit Avoidance Program in place at Princeps has been awarded the elite AS6081 Certification by NQA-USA. Princeps ASSURE+ is our AS6081 program. In conjunction with AS5553, we are seeing AS6081 appear in customer quality requirements. The standard sets out minimum requirements for testing and inspection of parts sourced from outside of the manufacturer's authorised supply chain. Our Princeps ASSURE+ service has been developed to help you comply with these requirements.

The seriousness of risk posed by counterfeit and fraudulent components cannot be overstated, and industry awareness has increased massively over recent years, with a raft of standards now available for organisations operating at various levels within the hi-rel supply chain.
AS6081 is the standard that sets out how distributors operating in the open market can mitigate these risks. Princeps were one of the first UK distributors to achieve AS6081 certification, when NQA approved our quality management system in 2016. Our process for the safe procurement of untraceable components for use in hi-rel industries makes use of the risk assessment model detailed in AS6171 and the SAE Counterfeit Defect Coverage Tool to identify risks associated, and generate a comprehensive, optimised test sequence.
Use of the AS6171 Risk Model produces reliable, repeatable test plans with coverage to meet risks associated with use of the components in the end product. If, however, there are specific test requirements that your organisation needs covering, we can modify the test sequence to include these. Each Assure+ order is tailored to address the individual risks associated with each component and end product.
