Founded in Harlow in 2006, Princeps has been a proud supporter of Harlow Rugby Club since the 2020/21 season, serving as a kit sponsor to its 1st and 2nd XV men's teams.

The company has now extended its support to become a corporate sponsor, with plans to deliver a programme that combines community engagement with raising money for Essex-based charity St Clare Hospice.

Harlow, UK.

Princeps, an accredited procurement support services provider for Electronic, Electro-mechanical or Electrical (EEE) components, is delighted to announce the extension of its support for Harlow Rugby Club as a corporate sponsor and expanding its role as a kit sponsor to the club's senior men's teams.

This enhanced sponsorship represents Princeps' ongoing dedication to promoting local sports and fostering community spirit. As part of this partnership, Princeps and Harlow Rugby Club will explore opportunities for community events and activities aimed at enhancing visibility and outreach within the local community and beyond.

As a corporate sponsor, Princeps is committed to providing support across all levels of Harlow Rugby Club. For the 2024/25 season, both the senior men's 1st XV team, currently competing in the Regional 2 Anglia league, and the senior men's 2nd XV will wear new kits featuring the Princeps logo; the 1st XV will wear sponsored shorts, with the 2nd XV showcasing sponsored shirts.

This support will extend to grassroots level, enabling Harlow Rugby Club to help offer opportunities to over 175 mini rugby players, as well as youth teams for both boys and girls from U12 through to Colts, in addition to the senior men's and women's squads.

Princeps is also proud to continue its support for local palliative care provider St Clare Hospice by sponsoring Harlow 1st XV's forthcoming home fixture against rivals Brentwood on 16th November. This match will not only showcase competitive rugby but also serve as a platform for fundraising efforts to benefit the vital services provided by St Clare Hospice.

Princeps has pledged to donate £250 for every try scored during the match, a generous commitment which underscores the company’s dedication to making a meaningful impact in the community.

At this special event, Princeps will utilise the club facilities to host up to 60 guests, including representatives from St Clare Hospice. This occasion aims to foster community spirit while raising essential funds for the hospice, which plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to those in need in the local area.

"We are excited to sponsor this fixture and support St Clare Hospice," stated Andrew Green, Operations Manager of Princeps. "This event represents a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with our clients and the community, enjoy a thrilling rugby match, and contribute to a cause close to our hearts."

In addition to the match, local businesses have rallied behind the event and generously donated a range of prizes for raffles throughout the day. Their contributions will not only enhance the fundraising efforts but also highlight the shared sense of community that exists in Harlow. Princeps will also be sponsoring match balls for the game and giving away various gifts to guests on the day.

The chairman of Harlow Rugby Club, Chris McFerran, added, "We are grateful to Princeps for their sponsorship and commitment to supporting rugby in Harlow. This event promises to be a fantastic day of rugby and community engagement, and we are excited to welcome everyone to the club. Our match with Brentwood is set to be a thrilling encounter, and with the added element of fundraising for St Clare Hospice, it’s sure to be a memorable day for everyone."
