Inspection And Test

Some of the tests regularly utilised by us include:

Microscopy

We use a Brunel Stereomicroscope with a high resolution Nikon digital camera to inspect and record devices coming through our inspection department. This combination gives us the ability to magnify up to 200 times to ensure all potential defects can be detected quickly and easily.

Electrical Test

We use an ABI ATS to conduct an I-V curve trace on devices passing through our inspection department. We take a pin-print of responses from the device under test and compare the results to a known good device or the published pinout on the manufacturers datasheet. We also use an LCR meter to test passives.

We can arrange paramteric testing of devices, including screening to MIL-PRF requirements, with a UK test house.

X-Ray, XRF and Decapsulation

We can offer X-Ray, XRF and chemical decapsulation of devices to ensure parts are as described. For these tests we utilise the services of a local materials testing laboratory.
